5 Points of Calvinism

The 5 points of Calvinism was a response drafted by the Synod of Dort between 1618 and 1619 A.D. The synod, which was composed of 84 members and 27 delegates of the Dutch Reformed Church, met to resolve doctrinal matters raised by The Remonstrance of 1610, which was drawn up in 5 points by the followers of Jacobus Arminius.

The 5 points of Calvinism are usually divided as follows.
  1. Total Depravity
  2. Unconditional Election
  3. Limited Atonement
  4. Irresistible Grace
